People Counting Sensors
Abakus Analytics delivers the most accurate people counting sensors to support the measurement of visitors across all industries.

Stereo Video

Stereo cameras consist of two lenses that fuse the content of the two images together and evaluate it. Thanks to their angular misalignment, they are particularly well-suited to detecting distance and obstacles
Sensors are mounted over the zone looking straight down.
The sensor sees in 3D and observes both the head & shoulders of individuals.
The sensor represents this as a series of dots allowing for a low-resolution representation of the observation.
All processing of data is done on the sensor with only the data being uploaded to reporting suite.
Time of Flight

Time of Flight people counting uses sensors to achieve more depth of vision and movement than you might get using other types of people counting technology, such as thermal or stereo.
A signal is sent out from a sensor that is fixed to the ceiling above the area to be measured. Time of Flight people counting is very simple — when the signal is sent out, the device then records the reflection of infrared that bounces back to the sensor. Using this type of sensor will deliver a more complete picture of retail traffic that is more accurate and in-depth than what many other systems offer.

LiDAR

LiDAR is a method for determining ranges by targeting an object or a surface with a laser, and measuring the time for the reflected light to return to the receiver. The sensor sees in 3D and observes both the head and shoulders of individuals.
LiDAR Light Detection and Ranging:
A series of IR laser lights
Used to measure distance by measuring the time it takes for the light to bounce back to the sensor.
Creates a data point cloud that is used to create a depth map
